Welcome to Washington, DC
Our America’s 250th Birthday Adventure begins this morning as we meet at the Jackson Evers Airport for our early departure to Washington, DC on Southwest Airlines. Upon arrival at Reagan National Airport, we’ll be picked up by our private motorcoach and make the short drive to our Nation’s Capital — a grand and stately city of imposing national shrines and monuments that testify to some of America’s greatest names.

DAY 2 — FRIDAY, JULY 3
Arlington, The Capitol & Old Town Alexandria
After a deluxe breakfast at our hotel, we have an exciting day planned with a licensed DC guide throughout. We start with a visit to our Nation’s most sacred shrine — Arlington National Cemetery, where we’ll see the Changing of the Guard ceremony and visit the graves of Robert and John F. Happy Independence Day! After breakfast at our hotel, we board our motorcoach and transfer to the Tidal Basin, where the Potomac River basin surrounds the Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials. Our first stop — to honor our Veterans on our nation’s birthday — is the National World War II Memorial, where we will lay a memorial wreath at our Mississippi marker. After breakfast at our hotel, we make the short transfer to Mt. Vernon, the historic home of George and Martha Washington. This morning we enjoy our final breakfast at the hotel before checking out and loading our luggage onboard our motorcoach. We say goodbye to our Nation’s Capital as we depart Washington and transfer to BWI Airport for a mid-afternoon departure on Southwest Airlines, arriving back in Jackson by 7:45 PM — full of memories and new friends from our America’s 250th Birthday in Washington, D.C.!

Airlines reserve the right to increase or decrease final group air costs until time of ticketing due to fluctuation in air passenger facility charges, departure fees and taxes. You will be notified of any deviation in listed tour pricing.
Travel insurance is available through Travel Insured International. Coverage includes trip cancellation, accident & sickness medical, baggage delay, evacuation, and 24/7 emergency assistance. For pre-existing conditions, insurance must be purchased within 21 days of registration.

Our tour schedule is subject to change. Itinerary times may need to be adjusted based on daily activities taking place in Washington, DC, such as parade setup, Presidential motorcades, and road closures.

If you require a motorized “Hoveround” type scooter on tour, you must have someone travel with you to help with loading and unloading on the motorcoach. Trek Travel Programs, Trey Tracy Travel, and the bus company do not provide assistance with motorized scooters.
