Hey there, fellow travelers! I’ve just returned from an adventure-packed FAM trip to Anchorage, Alaska, thanks to the fine folks at Visit Anchorage. You know, after missing out twice last year, I finally made it on my third invite. They say third time’s the charm, right?
This year is a milestone birthday for both my mother and my mother-in-law. So as my wife and I were trying to decide what to get our mothers for their birthdays, we decided that a memory was better than a trinket and opted for a weekend trip. Since Labor Day was in between both of their birthdays, we chose that weekend for a little getaway to historic Natchez, Mississippi.
I believe every United States citizen should visit Washington, D.C., at least once in their life to get a better appreciation for the founding of our country. So we decided to take our family vacation there this summer now that our children are teenagers and can fully appreciate all the monuments, museums, and other sites there are to see.
